1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons ketchup
3 tablespoons cornstarch, dissolved in 1 cup cold water
¼ cup white vinegar
½ cup sugar
Mix all the ingredients in a small pot and simmer over low heat for 3 minutes, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens. Cool and serve with Fried Shrimp Wontons. Makes 1 ½ cups.
